Snow Time!

Well we have our first snow of the year! I think maybe 3-4 inches...but it's so cold! It was 5 degrees this morning when we got up. Not loving this weather :( But the snow is pretty!

Our covered porch...the wind blew it all on there too!

Updated Pictures

I know I've been slack lately but I feel like we've been going going going and there's no time! But I've finally found a few minutes to post some new pictures of our little guy.

We went to Brevard last weekend to see the Christmas parade and hang out with family and ended up going to a tree farm on the way back and getting our Christmas Tree (which is up in all it's glory now). So a fun trip!

This week Dad has been up helping with a few things around here as we began working on the big bathroom and replacing a door that has proven to not block the cold anymore. I'm so excited to get the bathroom done now that we've started and I see how much improvement just little things like changing the faucets makes. Give me a paint brush I'm ready to go!!! :)

Almost done with our Christmas shopping...only a few things left and we'll be all set! Can't wait to see everyone over the holidays!

Or this one...

On a side note, we made some salt dough ornaments for the tree as well...Wyatt took one off, took a lick and immediately handed it to me with a sour face. Hasn't touched them since :)

Thanksgiving Part 1

We have had a crazy couple of weeks here! Robb went to the beach and went sailing with some of his family for a week, so my mom came up and helped out for a couple of days while I had some fun dental work done and then Wyatt and I had some cozy good mother/son time. We were soooo happy to see Robb when he got home!!! :)

The barn has been so busy with Thanksgiving holiday tourists in town, so that's kept Robb busy from the time he got back from his trip.

Wyatt and I went down to my parents house for a few days for Thanksgiving and enjoyed getting to see everyone. We got to see Arden, our niece, who is 5 months younger than Wyatt. She's growing so fast!! It was fun to see her and Wyatt playing together. I'm so glad they're going to be close in age!

Then yesterday, we had ALL of Robb's family over for the Goins family Thanksgiving and had so much fun! I think it was the first time we had all been together in one place in probably over a year. It was so nice to have everyone in one place!! :)

Here are a few pics from Thanksgiving at my parents house...hoping to get more from the rest of Thanksgiving up soon!

(thanks to Greg and Julie for these great pictures!!!)

Giving kisses!

Little Black Kitty

When we moved last year we brought 3 kitties with us...Orange kitten, Daisy and Roscoe. We discovered shortly after moving everyone in that there was also an additional black kitty in the barn beside the house. It was during the cold winter that we discovered him in there, so we started leaving food out for him because it was super cold and we felt bad. When we initially saw him, he wouldn't come anywhere near us. I mean, way far away from us. Then gradually he began to come and sit under a board near where we left food for him and would purr, but still wouldn't let us touch him. Then one day Robb came in the house with a big smile, he'd gotten to pet little black kitty. And gradually from that point on, he began to let us pet him. Now, everytime we go in, he comes right up to us and rubs and purs and almost grabs your hands (without his claws!!) for you to pet him. All the other kitties, as soon as you put food in the bowl, they're pretty much done with the attention, as it's time to get down to business. But with little black kitty, it's almost like he's so grateful for the fact that we gave him a home that he shows us each time that he loves us and won't eat until we leave. It hit me this morning as he was rubbing on my leg and the orange kitten was chowing down, he really is greatful to us and shows us every day his gratitude. I want to be more like little black kitty and show the people in my life more every day how happy I am that they are in my life. Thank you little black kitty!

Just another day in paradise!

Nothing too new to report from here. Just been getting caught up on projects around the barn and house lately. The Goins family will be here in full for Thanksgiving this year, so we're getting things tidied up for that as it's hard to believe, Thanksgiving is right around the corner!!

We've gotten a good jump on Christmas shopping (already have 6 presents wrapped!!) and are continuing this weekend with a little shopping trip with the Goins ladies, so I'm looking forward to that!

Wyatt has started to climb and pull up on everything lately. Looks like walking isn't far away....

Other than that, nothing too new to report. Can't wait to see everyone around the holidays!!

This is what you see when nap time is over now...a standing
baby ready to go!

I am not ready for him to walk yet!!

Helping with laundry (he just pulls it all out
when I'm not looking...)

Snug as a bug in his hammock Daddy made him :)

Got his shoes and mittens on (which were yummy...)

Mastered the sippy!!

Sheer joy!

He LOVES leaves!

Riding with Daddy (that's actually a happy face)

Halloween Fun!

We went to Brevard this past weekend to enjoy the Halloween festivities with Robb's family. There was a fun festival in town with lots of trick or treating for the kids and some fun games and vendors out. Then we got to go do the trunk or treat in town with Wendy and her kids. I was so excited for Wyatt to go trick or treating, we had him all dressed up and ready to go and on the 2 mile drive to get there, he fell asleep, to the point we got him out of the car, put him in the stroller and pulled the head of his costume up and he never woke up. haha But it was still fun! Got to spend some fun time with the family so that was nice.

Getting all geared up for all the holiday fun that is quickly approaching and trying to decide what our plans are is always fun. Robb has a fun trip coming up soon as well, so there is lots going on right now!

Completely unaware he looks like a horse.

Sharing is caring!

The view from behind...looks like a horse to me!
