Oh August...How you slipped by!

I realized tonight we had a lot of pictures on the camera and needed to get them off, to which I then realized I needed to update the blog, to which I then realized, holy Toledo I haven't updated in over a month! But once you hear what's been going on, I think you'll understand...

Greg, Julie and Arden came up to visit us the beginning of the month. We had a great time visiting with them and the kids had a good time running around with the horses and playing outside.

Then....we ended up at a new doctor with the boys only to find out that Cole needed to get tubes put in his ears. So we got that scheduled and took him to get his tubes put in (he'd had a string of constant ear infections). Then, litterally as we're pulling in the driveway after Cole's surgery, we get a call from daycare that Wyatt was running a fever...another ear infection...another referral to the ENT and set up tubes surgery for him as well. So now, both boys have tubes and are doing great! Hopefully this will help keep the little guys healthy for awhile now.

Cole has become a much happier, funny little guy now. You can tell he feels SO much better and he's constantly running around 90 miles an hour now. He's pulling up on everything and starting to think about walking. He also had his first birthday (how is that possible already) on Monday of this week. I can't believe he's a year old already!

hmmm....

What have we got here...

Ok, I think I get it now...

Oh yeah, this is fun...

Look!

Want some?

Hold me!

He was so dirty we just had to have a quick
birthdy bath to clean up :)

Wyatt took his cupcake very seriously.

Time for presents!

Happy Birthday!
Wyatt is doing great, talking a whole bunch now. He loves to ask lots of questions and try to figure out what everyone is doing. He's got several good friends at daycare now that seems to be his little group of guys. They're always into something, playing football or racing around the playground. Always something funny going on when we go to pick him up :) Wyatt's really starting to help out around here more, and enjoys spending time with us outside doing chores. His favorite right now is picking up rocks out of the pasture and then taking them over to the pond to throw in!

Things around the farm have slowed down some now that schools are back in and the major rush is over. The horses are enjoying some much needed time off, as are we :) We'll get a few weeks now to slow down and then get into the fall season. The horses have really enjoyed their pond this summer and used it often to help cool off.

That's about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Thursday!
