First Haircut

We finally had to do it yesterday...we couldn't take the old man comb over look anymore that Wyatt had going on...here's a pic before:
And here's a picture after:
I think he looks much cuter now (so does his daddy)! It still looks like he's got kind of a mohawk going on because all of the hair on the sides is falling out, but it doesn't look as crazy as it did before.

Wyatt is doing so well at sitting up now! (See top picture) he loves it! He'll sit up for like 15-20 minutes at a time, just enjoying the change of perception I think. It's so cute!

Wyatt has also decided that he is going to try to figure out this whole crawling thing. I think he's been watching his cousin, Micah, and is trying to figure out why when Micah rolls on his belly, he moves. So Wyatt will roll onto his belly and it looks like he's swimming or trying to be an inchworm or something. I think we're still a ways from the crawling actually taking place, but it's neat to see that idea in his head. :)

The baby swing is no more...I put him in it yesterday and he kept trying to sit up while it was swinging which made him almost fall out several times...it was fun while it lasted!

Things are really busy with the barn right now. Robb is working crazy long days, but is enjoying every minute of it! We took Wyatt out to walk around in the pasture with the horses the other night and it's so neat to watch how the horses just want to see Wyatt. They are really intriuged by him. They are so calm and careful with him, but they all want to smell him some and are always willing to let him pet them. His eyes get so big and he thinks it's so funny when they blow on him thru their nose as they are smelling. I just love watching him interact with the world and learn about it in his own way. I'm so happy that Wyatt has all these amazing animals and beautiful land to grow up with. Robb has already come up with a fun place on the property down by one of the creeks that I think he's going to turn into a little get away for us where we can have a hammock and chairs set up in the trees by the creek where we can kick back and Wyatt can play and explore.

Back to work for now...

Updated Pictures

So I've been really slack on the pictures lately, so I'm going to make up for it today....

So tired....

We had a great weekend! We got to spend lots of time with family on Saturday, Wendy came up with her crew, and Todd and Beth met us over at the lake with thier crew. We spent most of the day at the lake playing on the beach and on the boat. It was so nice to have everyone together and enjoying the actually not so hot weather that day. Wyatt enjoyed the lake as well! This was his first time actually playing in the water and he thought it was great! Splashed around and laughed the whole time (of course momma was paranoid about him getting sun burned, so we didn't spend a ton of time in the water). But he had fun none the less!
Always on his belly now!
Hanging out in the kiddie area.Hanging out with his cousin Micah.Super cool swim outfit!

Sunday we had a rare family day in the middle of the summer and we got to get caught up on sleep some which was amazing after the last two weeks with Wyatt up at night with teeth. It was so nice to just have a day with all three of us home together and in no hurry to go anywhere. My idea of a perfect Sunday! :)

Don't mind the drool soaked shirt...
We love to jump and play!

Wyatt finally has a tooth breaking through!! We saw it on Saturday and by yesterday it was breaking through the gum! We are all so excited about this! It's so nice to have our sweet baby back! :) He was jumping and talking and laughing so much yesterday, just made my whole weekend to see him feeling better finally.

Sitting up like a big boy and super proud of himself!

Wyatt has also decided he's ready to start sitting up. We pull him into the sitting position and he can sit up without us holding him! He's growing up so fast!! I can't believe it!

Here are some pictures from Wyatt's time at work with me...he gets to spend a few days here and there in the office with me, which is a blessing!

This is him napping beside my desk all snuggled up.

This is him helping Ms. Kelli around her office in the Admissions Office.

Friday!!!

So happy it's finally Friday! It seems like it's been an awfully long week this week with little sleep...poor baby Wyatt is teething and just not a happy camper. But we're getting through it. Robb and I may come out a little more tired than usual, but we're getting there. :)

Wyatt has learned to roll all over the place! He gets going and just rolls across the room! haha It's so fun to watch him learn new things. I guess gone are the days where you put him down and he stays in one place! Off to the races we go!!!

I keep forgetting to upload new pictures, so nothing to add today. Hopefully I'll have lots of fun new pictures on Monday. Wendy is coming over with her 4 kids tomorrow and we're going to have super fun times at the lake with Beth and her 5 kids! I can't wait to see how Wyatt reacts to the water, as this will be his first time getting to "swim". Should be fun!!

Robb has been super busy with rides this week. I feel like I've hardly seen him!! That's why I love the weekends during the summer so much more, I'm actually able to be around the barn with him and spend a little bit more time with him. Every time Wyatt sees his daddy now he's starting to reach out for him. It makes me smile every time! He just loves to spend time playing with him! It's so cute! The two of them together makes my heart just melt! Pure perfection! :)

All in all another crazy summer week...leading into another fun summer weekend! Can't wait to see what's next! :)

So I found this today. Really? Not only is there a fun story about a crazy man that thinks he saw a blonde bigfoot...but I also found (thanks to my good friend Crystal) that there is a Facebook fan page for the above mentioned Bigfoot, Ben Knobby Knob. Of course I had to friend him...haha...oh come on you know you will too!
My favorite part of the story is the picture that goes with it is that he claims he poked bigfoot with a stick...this is why Southerners are made to look stupid! ugh....people make my head hurt!

Motivation Returning

I have had absolutely zero motivation since having Wyatt. I guess my body has just been in complete shock from re-adjusting to my new life as a wife and a momma. But anyways...the good news is...my motivation is back! Yay! I've finally been finding myself wanting to get moving on projects I started before Wyatt and things I've been meaning to do, so I'm very excited! Now just to find the time to do it all....haha

I ordered prints finally to get started on the baby book that just has ultrasound pictures in it. I'm totally excited about that. My goal is to get all of his stuff in there up to 4-5 months by the end of July if not sooner and then go ahead and order the next round of prints to keep it a project in motion.

hmm...what else can I get myself into...

Our First Getaway

Ok...so I never did share these photos...a month or so ago, Robb and I took a little mini-vacation without our little one and it was a super fun get away! We went and stayed over in Pigeon Forge, TN and spent some time wandering around in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Here are a few pictures from that trip:

The Beginning

I decided it was officially time to start a blog. We tend to have such a random life lately that hopefully this will help me at least try to keep everyone in the loop with what is going on.

Our summer season is in full swing at the barn! (Yay!) We're keeping busy with rides every day now. Always fun to meet all the different people that come ride with us every year. Robb is working long days, which is no fun for either of us, but I keep reminding myself it's only for a few months, then we can get back to normal (whatever that is).
This heat wave is crazy! I hope this is not a sample of what is to come this summer! It really makes me worry more about Robb and our animals when it gets like this. But Robb knows what he's doing and is very aware of the heat and what it does, so I know I shouldn't worry, but I guess I'm the one in our family in charge of it. :)
Wyatt is growing so fast! He's beginning to sit unassisted and is so excited about it! He can roll all over the place and is trying his hardest to sit up (not quite there yet, though). He's been a little unhappy due to teething, but we're getting through it. I hate seeing him in pain and not being able to do much to help him! But he's doing pretty well with it, I think.
Our new niece is finally here! Little Arden Linville made her arrival a little over a week ago and she is so cute! I'm hoping to make a trip down to meet her in July and catch up with some of the family down that way.
Let's see...what else do we have going on...we are still plugging away at the renovations on the house. Dad has been up helping with several projects and I think we're about to finish off the little bathroom and it will be so cute! I can't wait! Then I think I might try to tackle updating the other bathroom with some paint and a new wall cabinet...we'll see. We have had a few people out to look at the windows in the past week, hoping to get those replaced soon. It's crazy how much air we are loosing out of those old ones...some of them won't even close anymore!! Yuck! So we've decided it's time to bite the bullet and get those done. That in itself will make a much needed improvement both asethetically and on our wallet with heating and cooling costs.
I think that pretty much sums up what's going on lately. I will leave you with some fun pictures of Wyatt!

Here are a few pictures from Wyatt's playtime with his cousin Ellie....these make me smile! :)
