Oh August...How you slipped by!

I realized tonight we had a lot of pictures on the camera and needed to get them off, to which I then realized I needed to update the blog, to which I then realized, holy Toledo I haven't updated in over a month! But once you hear what's been going on, I think you'll understand...

Greg, Julie and Arden came up to visit us the beginning of the month. We had a great time visiting with them and the kids had a good time running around with the horses and playing outside.

Then....we ended up at a new doctor with the boys only to find out that Cole needed to get tubes put in his ears. So we got that scheduled and took him to get his tubes put in (he'd had a string of constant ear infections). Then, litterally as we're pulling in the driveway after Cole's surgery, we get a call from daycare that Wyatt was running a fever...another ear infection...another referral to the ENT and set up tubes surgery for him as well. So now, both boys have tubes and are doing great! Hopefully this will help keep the little guys healthy for awhile now.

Cole has become a much happier, funny little guy now. You can tell he feels SO much better and he's constantly running around 90 miles an hour now. He's pulling up on everything and starting to think about walking. He also had his first birthday (how is that possible already) on Monday of this week. I can't believe he's a year old already!

hmmm....

What have we got here...

Ok, I think I get it now...

Oh yeah, this is fun...

Look!

Want some?

Hold me!

He was so dirty we just had to have a quick
birthdy bath to clean up :)

Wyatt took his cupcake very seriously.

Time for presents!

Happy Birthday!
Wyatt is doing great, talking a whole bunch now. He loves to ask lots of questions and try to figure out what everyone is doing. He's got several good friends at daycare now that seems to be his little group of guys. They're always into something, playing football or racing around the playground. Always something funny going on when we go to pick him up :) Wyatt's really starting to help out around here more, and enjoys spending time with us outside doing chores. His favorite right now is picking up rocks out of the pasture and then taking them over to the pond to throw in!

Things around the farm have slowed down some now that schools are back in and the major rush is over. The horses are enjoying some much needed time off, as are we :) We'll get a few weeks now to slow down and then get into the fall season. The horses have really enjoyed their pond this summer and used it often to help cool off.

That's about it for now. Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Thursday!

Happy July!

As most of you know, our summers tend to be a little insane...and this one is no exception. So again, appologies for lack of post updates here...there just aren't enough hours in the day!

Things are going very well. Staying very busy with rides this summer at the barn, as well as the usual upkeep up the summer around here and all that goes with it. The horses are holding up well, but I'm sure ready for a break from the crazy summer times.

The boys are doing well, and keeping us busy!  We've had a few cases of ear infections, etc. lately, but I think we're getting everyone healthy again. :) The boys are now sharing a room and seem to enjoy spending time together a little bit more now that Cole is actually able to play more. Cole is now crawling and pulling up and probably not too far from walking...watch out world! :) Wyatt is talking up a storm and cracking us up. Always good at making us laugh :)

We have apparently adopted 3 new cats...a momma and her two kittens. They showed up a few weeks back and have decided they are quite happy here, and I don't think either of us have the heart to kick them out right now. They are too cute!

Nothing much else new going on...just working and then working a little more (and watching the Olympics, USA USA!)

Happy Sunday!

Wait, I'm not supposed to play in here?

Playing out at the lake with Daddy!

Finding rocks for his bucket at the lake.

Watching the horses, with Daddy's boots on.

Foggy morning

Riding his horse around the barn :)

Momma and her boys

Learning his alphabet

Feeding the ducks with Grandma

So many ducks!

Cole thought the ducks were pretty hillarious :)

June Fun

I'm getting good at updating this aren't I? Once a month is a great time frame :) HA! Sorry, you get what you pay for I guess!

Things are going well here...just getting into the summer groove (grind?). At the moment, though, everyone is healthy and happy, so can't complain too much. The summer is off to a good start at the barn. Lots of familiar faces and lots of new faces as well. Always a good mix! We had to hire a new trail guide this summer as Christy decided she wanted to try her hand at gardening and take some time to do some other things she wanted to while she had her summer off. Our new guide is Paige and she's doing a great job so far. She's local here in town and is great with our guests. Happy to have her!

The boys are going 90 miles an hour all the time now. Cole is crawling and desperately trying to figure out how to keep up with his brother. He's getting close to doing it too :) He's got 6 teeth at this point and I'm pretty sure there are two more working their way up. Had his 9 month check up last week and got a good report. He's finally getting in a good sleep habit and doing better at night (watch, as I write this, he'll decide to change it up tonight).

Wyatt is such a funny little guy right now! Most days he's just cracking us up. He loves to make people laugh, so he's normally trying to find a way to make us smile. He's enjoying his little plastic pool that we'd gotten for the summer as well as his sand box.

Robb and I are both doing well, just staying busy with all that the summer brings. Looking forward for our next vacation :)

Hope everyone is doing well and your week is off to a good start!

Happy Monday!

"It's not raining here"

When your toddler starts saying that, you know it's been raining too much before for him if he's noticing it's not raining :) haha Wyatt now likes to let us know if it is in fact raining, or if it's not currently raining here. Always handy to have a weatherman around.

It's that time of year! Summertime is here!!! I feel like it's summer camp time and all our buddies are coming back for the summer in town and we'll have another round of crazy times and fun stories to come. We've got t-shirts in the mix almost ready to get out there, new horses, new trails, always something fun and new going on :)

The boys are doing great. Cole is getting ready to take off crawling. He's getting up on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth, ready to go! He's figured out how to sit up by himself, and then gets really excited about it and falls back over (it's a little funny). He's pretty determined when he sets his sights on something and finds a way to roll and stretch his way to it. We're going to be in trouble soon once he starts crawling!

Wyatt is talking up a storm. New words, phrases, etc. every hour it feels like. He is something else :) He loves learning new things and helping out around our place. He loves to run, run, run!

Happy Tuesday (although it sure feels like a Monday today...)

The gang's all here! (Wyatt, Madalyn and Cole)

Oh the silly conversations these guys have!

Teaching him early how to keep the books ;)

You know it's summer time when...Levi is too tired to care...

Did I mention Cole got 4 teeth in about 2 weeks?

The next horse whisperer?

Either way, he loves those horses!

Wyatt does too :)
