Pumpkin Patch

This morning the boys and I went to a local pumpkin patch to check it out.  The weather was too nice to stay inside and I wanted to try to find some fun things to do around here on the weekends to get us all out of the house some. One of my friends, Crystal, came along with us. I was a little disappointed, but luckily, Wyatt is young enough he didn't care, so it was ok. It wasn't really a pumpkin patch like it was advertised, and their petting zoo left a little to be desired, but Wyatt enjoyed it, so no complaints there!

Rides are still going strong, so Robb is staying busy.  The leaves are really starting to get into full color, especially on some of the higher elevations. I really love this time of year! :)

Wyatt has really seemed to enjoy the daycare he's going to. He started this week for a couple of mornings just half day. He's still upset to see us go when we leave him in the mornings, but the teachers said he's doing great after the initial upset. So that's good!

Cole is doing great! I think we may have figured out what was upsetting his tummy so much and hopefully will have that all cleared up now. He's been a different baby this afternoon, so I'm hoping this continues and he won't be in so much pain after he eats every time anymore. He's really starting to spend more time awake just taking everything in. He's rolled over a couple of times, once I rolled him back over and he just went and rolled right back over, so it appears to be intentional. The kid has crazy head/neck control. I think he's just showing off :)

Other than that, just getting in a groove this week with me back to work and everyone trying to get on board with how we'll make this work. It wasn't as bad as I was prepared for, so I think we'll make it ;)

Happy Saturday!!

New!

In an effort to get myself more motivated, I've decided to step up this blog a little more. It will be evolving into something different in the coming weeks...of what it's final look and purpose will be, is still to be determined. I'm going to let it evolve as it goes and see what we get. Today I added a new pages feature to the right of the posts that'll offer additional pages, such as recipes and lists of things I am working on to start with. Hopefully this will help motivate me more to start doing the things I say I'm going to and hopefully make for entertaining reading for you! :)

Happy Reading!

1 Month!

I can't believe it's been a month already since Cole got here! He is doing so amazing! He's eating well and growing like crazy. Such a sweet baby! Wyatt is really enjoying helping out with his little brother as well. He brings his bottles and shakes them up, puts his paci in his mouth when he yells, tells me when he's yelling (haha) never a dull moment, that is for sure!

I start back to work tomorrow and Wyatt starts daycare a couple of days a week this week. All the fall colors are starting to show, so I'm sure all of the fall visitors are on their way up soon and our fall season will be in full swing!

Here are a few pictures from the hospital when Cole was born...all done by my fabulous personal photographer, Wendy :)

Happy October!!

One Week

We've made it one week (and a few days) and everyone is still doing well! :)  Cole is doing great, eating and sleeping well. Nights aren't so bad (a few long ones here and there) but overall, we can't complain. Wyatt is starting to enjoy helping with things for "the baby" as he refers to him.  We're having a few moments of not so fun times as we all adjust, but I guess that's to be expected.  Cole had his first check up the other day at the doctor...he was 8lbs 2ounces and 21 inches long. So he's growing well! Everything else checked out just fine, so we were excited to hear that.

We did a little hike the other day to see a waterfall (and get out of the house). It was a pretty hike, but a lot longer than we thought it was going to be! It was fun, none-the-less! :) A nice little break from the house.

Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday!!

We have a thumb sucker!

So excited!!!

Summer Fun!

Prior to Cole's arrival, we'd spent some time out and about playing and enjoying the end of summer, and pretty much doing anything to keep me moving and convince Cole to get a move on. :)  Here are some pictures of our adventures along the way!

Coleman "Cole" Byron Goins

Cole made his appearance Saturday morning at 2:57am. He thankfully came on his own so we avoided another induction (yay!). So that was a nice surprise. He was 8.1 pounds and 20.5 inches long. We only had to stay in the hospital for a day and then were able to go home as we both were doing well. So all around a good start!

Cole is super laid back (so far) so we're enjoying that and the fact that it's making the transition a little easier. Wyatt is excited about the "Baby" as he refers to him. We're just trying to help him learn how he can help and how to be gentle with the baby. So far so good!

We will leave you with a few pictures of our new addition, hope to get more up soon when things calm down a little bit.

Happy Wednesday!!!
