Sorry!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately...had a little issue with a computer dying and trying to get all of that worked out as well as getting ready for this new baby and continuing on home renovations...so to say the least, this hasn't been the first thought in my head :)

But, here's a quick update of what's going on and when I get a few minutes I'll post some new pictures from our recent adventures.

We're all doing great! Summer crazy is winding down a bit before the fall fun picks up. I'm 37 weeks along this week, so I'm ready for this new little guy to make his appearance!!!! At the most though, they're only making me go another 2 weeks, so by Labor Day week, he'll be here. Yay! Robb is doing very well...just had a fun birthday! We celebrated with an oh so delicious dinner made by Beth at their place. Yummy food and good company :) Wyatt is into everything more and more every day! He's really keeping us on our toes! haha We're still spending lots of time outside enjoying the weather. He loves to explore and is really enjoying being able to spend more time with Robb and helping him at the barn. I just hope he's ready for the new baby!! We keep talking about it with him, but I'm not sure how much he really understands of what we're saying about it at this point. He knows the baby will sleep in the crib. That much he has down :)

Got to spend some time in Brevard a couple of weekends ago and see most of the family down there. Celebrated Jenna's third birthday!! Wyatt got some fancy new shoes for the fall and got to play in the river some. Lots of fun!

Last weekend we spent Sunday out exploring a little. Went up to Standing Indian and played around some in the creeks, ate lunch at a waterfall, hiked around a little. Then we headed up to Wayah Bald which is at the very tip top of a mountain (pictures to come) and at the end of a LONG gravel road (well maybe only seems long when you're 9 months pregnant). All in all a fun day and much needed get out and play day :) I think we need those more often!

Still working on the master bedroom...Robb's finished most of it, just have a few little things left to do and order carpet and we'll be all set! Then comes the fun of moving all the rest of the house around to accomodate the change! haha that'll be fun.

All in all we're keeping busy to say the least. Hopefully this fall we'll have lots of rides and not lots of anything else so we can relax some :)

Happy Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!

Summer Pictures

Sorry for the delay...with all that we've had going on there just hasnt' been a lot of extra time for things like this to get posted. Updated info on the house renovations below. Still working away at what will be our new master bedroom.

Update on baby number 2...they have decided to move up my induce date to the week of Labor Day, so only about 6 more weeks! I am both excited beyond belief to meet this little guy and soooo freaked out that we won't get the inside of the house moved around in time (which I'm coming to terms with will be ok if we don't). haha but I think that's more of my nesting kicking into high gear right now.

Wyatt is now sleeping in his toddler bed and doing soooo incredibly well with it! We still can't believe how lucky we are to have such an amazing little guy that makes what could be incredibly hard transitions, so much easier for us. He is running around getting into everything now. So much fun to see the world through his eyes! Robb and Wyatt have some great "conversations" now too. I'm going to have to video it, because it is just too funny!

Hope everyone is doing well! Happy Sunday!

Updated Pics

So we're through phase 1 of the house remodel outside. The new siding is up. The porch ceilings are now enclosed. The chimney has had a MAJOR face lift. Below are some pictures of the progress. Still to come...gutters this week...chimney cap this week...painting the foundation (not going to be red) this week (we hope)...then painting doors and adding shutters. So this is not the final product...just through the first major overhaul! Hope you like it as much as we do!

Updates

No new pictures to post at the moment...just an update on the house for those that are following our on-going renovations! :)

New siding is going up in a couple of weeks. We finally finalized all of that yesterday and waiting for that to get started. They are also enclosing the porch ceilings and making that all look cleaner. Now instead of wood siding, brick in one place and one room done in updated siding, it will all match!! Yay! And it won't be Christmas colors! :)

As soon as the new siding is up, the work on the chimney begins to cover it in stone that matches the porch.

Also, new gutters going up all around :)

Work continues on the future master bedroom. We started getting the last of the holes filled in this week and are getting those sanded down and finishing up the priming of the walls, tearing out all of the baseboards and trim since none of it matched anyways. Also found out yesterday that we'll have to go ahead and replace that outside door in that room before they begin the siding work, so Robb's super excited about that (haha) I don't think we're going to ever look at doors the same way again after replacing or turning almost every door in this house! haha

So all in all, lots of projects going on right now, which we're hoping to get done before new baby makes his debut! If anyone is bored, just let us know, we got things you can do ;)

Happy Tuesday!!

Summer Time

I guess it's officially summer time! Although I've yet to determine if that's good, bad or indifferent. But none-the-less it's here! And HOT!!!! Of course the summer that I'm pregnant it goes from 50- 90 in a week. Oh well....

Nothing too new going on here. We've made some progress on what will be our master bedroom. Still a long way to go on that one, but we're getting there. Dad came up and helped with the electrical to get that all squared away, all that's left with that now is to get the lights put up and we'll be good to go! Robb and I are working on the walls slowly (as there is a LOT of wall space). Right now pulling old nails out and patching and sanding our way around the room...then pulling all the trim off (as there are about 4 different types in there) and then the painting fun begins. I swear I will bake anything you want if someone wants to come help paint! :)

We're also looking at options to re-do the siding and gutters outside and get that all fixed up and pretty! We've found a look we both love, so we're just shopping around still to see who's got the best pricing on this.

Wyatt is doing great! Learning new things all the time. His latest is he loves to help and have things that he can do. Such as putting his dirty clothes in his hamper, or playing with his drawer in the kitchen and then cleaning it up without being asked and saying "Ta Da!!" once he's done (so we know to clap for him) :) He's even started helping with decorating ideas...you know, pulling the toilet paper from the bathroom all the way across the house (which also ended with a "TaDa!" and hands in the air with a big smile). We love dandilions and picking every single one we can find. He goes for a haircut this afternoon, so that should prove to be entertaining (and hopefully less stressful) than the last one. Here's to that!

Other than that we're getting moving on summer season with the barn and just trying to beat the heat any way we can with rafting (Robb, not me and Wyatt yet) playing on the boat, whatever we can!

Happy Friday!!!

Beach Time!

Well we finally decided and packed up and headed to the beach last week. It was a much needed break and a great change of scenery for all of us I think. You don't really realize it sometimes until you're away how much you needed that change. Even Wyatt seemed to really enjoy the change. He kept walking to the windows and pointing at the ocean and saying "Woooaaahh!" :)

We rented a condo at a place that was right on the pier down at Cherry Grove so Robb could fish to his heart's content :) It was a nice place with lots to do for us with the pier, restaurants, lazy river, and several pools, oh and the beach! Mom came down to join us for a couple of days as well. Wyatt enjoyed playing in the sand, but was not a fan of the water this year...at all! Last year he loved it, but this year refused to play in any of it, ocean or pool. Just another phase I suppose. But he had a blast digging in the sand with his new shovels and buckets courtesy of Grandma (thank you!!). He liked walking down the beach and finding all sorts of fun things that had washed up, but ran away screaming anytime the water came near him (it was funny!). We took him to Bass Pro Shop to see the fish and he thought that was really cool. And we ate dinner one night at a great restaurant that has lots of turtles and alligators (although we didn't see any gators),  so we got to feed the turtles after we ate. Wyatt loved going on the pier and talking to all the people and looking at the fish that were coming up. He thought that was really neat! All in all a good trip...just wish it had been longer!!! :)

This past Saturday we went over to Cherokee and spent the day with Brad and Wendy and their family for Wendy's birthday. They were camping over there for the weekend, so we came to play for the day. Had a good visit and Wyatt loved getting to spend time with his cousins! Wyatt and Jenna liked to play in the puddles after the rain...so nice to see him finally starting to really play with other kids and have a good time!

Not much longer and the summer season will be here and it will be a bit crazy around here for a few months. But I think we're ready for it to be here and get going!

Nothing else new to report....as always, here are some recent pictures.
Happy Monday!!!
